Commander of the 67th Riverine Gunboat Squadron

He was appointed commander of the 67th Riverine Gunboat Squadron, Brăila on January 15, 2022.

Previously, starting on August 15, 2017, he was the commander of the 88th Riverine Patrol Boat Squadron, Brăila, and between June 2021 and December 2021 he performed the duties of the commander of the 67th Riverine Gunboat Squadron.

Throughout his military career, in the period 2010-2017, he performed several management positions, such as that of the Office of Analysis and Coordination of Information, within the command team at the General Staff of the Naval Forces and those of Chief of Staff, respectively deputy commander, at the 67th Riverine Gunboat Squadron, Brăila.

In the period 2002-2010, he was appointed chief of staff in the 88th Riverine Patrol Boat Squadron, and then performed various execution and management functions in the Operations Section within the 2nd Combined Operational Command.

He is a graduate of the "Mircea cel Bătrân" Naval Institute, Faculty of Navigation, (Graduation 1989) and the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Naval Military High School in Constanța (Graduation 1985).

The first position in his career was that of second officer in the Riverine Armored Patrol Gunboat within the 23 Riverine Gunboat Squadron (1989-1994), after which he worked in the 24th Riverine Brigade (1995-1997) and in the 67 Monitor Squadron, Brăila holding the position of second officer at Monitorul 45 (1997 – 2000).

In the more than 30 years of activity, he perfected his professional training by graduating from the Inter-Army Faculty at the Academy of Advanced Military Studies, Bucharest (2000-2002), second officer training courses (1991), perfecting training on the line of mobilization (1996), of naval radio communications-NATO terminology (1998), of the command of the artillery and missile carrier ship (1999), of the combat use of naval units (2000), of the intensive foreign language course and state integrative course major (2000), of the post-graduate course in special operations and defense against terrorism (2006), as well as the post-graduate training course in naval forces management (2010).

As a sign of appreciation, throughout his military career, he was awarded the following orders and medals: the honorary sign "In the Service of the Fatherland" for 15 years of activity (2004), the Emblem of Honor of the General Staff (2007), Honorary sign "In the Service of the Fatherland" for 20 years of activity (2009), Emblem of Honor of the Naval Forces (2013), Honorary sign "In the Service of the Fatherland" for 25 years of activity (2014), Merit Emblem "In the Service Romanian Army" 2nd class (2018), the Emblem of Honor of the Romanian Army (2020), the Emblem of Merit "In the Service of the Romanian Army" 1st class (2022) and the Emblem of Honor of the Combined Forces Command (2023).

He was born on June 22, 1967, in Fîntînele, Prahova County.

He speaks English fluently.
