He was born on February 8, 1975, in Târgu Bujor, Galaţi County.
For 18 years, he held various positions on board ships of the Romanian Naval Forces. As a graduate of the Naval Academy "Mircea cel Bătrân", 1998 promotion, he was appointed in the first position of commander of the speedboat for divers "Mars". After 6 years, he received the order of the maritime star for divers "Venus". In 2005, he was appointed commander of the navigation service at the school ship and logistical support "Constanța". During 2007-2016, he held the positions of watch officer, commander of the navigation battle group and commander of the operations combat service at the frigate "King Ferdinand", participating in NATO operations "Active Endeavor" and "Unified Protector" and to the EU operation "Atalanta". After a period of four years, during which time he held the position of head of office in the Radioelectronics and Observation Brigade "Callatis" and the Naval Operational Component, he was appointed, starting with January 15, 2020, at the command of the frigate "King Ferdinand".
He is a graduate of the master's degree in joint management (2019), during his career he graduated various courses in the country and abroad, including Department Head Course (International Surface Warfare Officer School, USA, 2009), Defense and Operational Planning Course (Defense College, The Netherlands, 2005), Groupe Ecole d'application des officiers de marine (internship on board, France).
He is married to Alina-Louisa and together they have two daughters and a son.
He is fluent in English and French.
