Historical overview

The 305th Mixed Wavehouse Mangalia was established on May 12th, 1958, under the name of the 305 Fuel and Lubricants Depot. From 1958 to 2004, the 305 Fuel and Lubricants Depot was part of the structure of the 42 Maritime Division, the Military Navy Headquarters, and Maritime Base 1. Starting from April 1st, 2004, the depot was placed under the command of the Joint Logistics Headquarters Bucharest, and a few months later, it returned to the Naval Forces, under the authority of Maritime Base l, under the name of Mixed Depot 305.

The main missions of the unit are: receiving, inspecting, safely storing, and distributing all categories of material goods specific to the Naval Forces; maintaining, preserving, and servicing the equipment stored in the unit's warehouses; participating with forces and resources in supporting the civilian population, limiting and mitigating the effects of disasters in emergency situations.
