Historical overview

The 342th Mixed Wavehouse Codru was established on March 15th, 1964, under the name of "342 Technical Base" subordinated to the 29 Patrol Boat Brigade Mangalia. Then, the unit was named Mixt Depot 342 directly subordinated to the Naval Forces Staff. Starting from December 15th, 2008, Depot 342 includes Sector 278 Mixt, and since June 1st, 2010, it goes under the subordination of the 325 Logistics Section within the Naval Logistics Base Headquarters.

The main missions of the unit are: receiving, accepting, safely storing, and distributing all categories of specific material goods for the Naval Forces; maintaining, preserving, and servicing the equipment stored in the unit's warehouses; participating with forces and means in supporting the civilian population, limiting and eliminating the effects of disasters in emergency situations.
