- Leading and coordinating the instruction of the command and the subordinate forces; - Internal evaluation of the command and subordinate forces;

- Conducting military actions at sea in the area of responsibility as well as outside it according to the commitments assumed by Romania;

- Achieving and maintaining the operational potential of the forces made available to NATO and those destined for regional initiatives;

- Operational and administrative leadership of subordinate forces and means for the execution of missions specific to collective defense operations, in support of peace and humanitarian, within groups of ships under national command, NATO or under EU mandate.
