Historical overview

The 335 Repair and Supply Base, a unit within the composition of the 29 Fast Patrol Boats Brigade, was established on March 30th, 1983. The 335 Logistics Section Mangalia is currently the structure that carries on the traditions of the 335 Repair and Supply Base.

The main missions of the 335 Logistics Section are represented by the provision of material goods of all categories for units within the logistic support area, logistical support for assigned ships for national and international missions, transportation of personnel and materials related to logistic support, reception, storage, and management of material goods, the maintenance of barracks and port facilities under administration, participation with forces and resources in supporting the civilian population, limiting and mitigating disasters in emergency situations, as well as the maintenance, preservation, and upkeep of materials in storage.
